1.1 Technical advice for establishment of vocational Diploma courses in Mechatronics/ Electricity・Electronics /Auto-motive
1.2 Refurbish existing infrastructure in Mechatronics/ Electricity・Electronics /Auto- motive
1.3 Develop curricula for vocational diploma courses in Mechatronics/ Electricity・Electronics /Auto- motive
1.4 Develop training materials for vocational diploma courses in Mechatronics/ Electricity・Electronics /Auto- motive

投入




日本側投入


a) Dispatch of Technical Advisors (Chief adviser and training planning, Mechatronics);
b) Dispatch of short-term experts for extra input (4-8 person per year);
c) Trainings in Japan for counterparts (40 persons by the project); and
d) Equipment, machinery, training materials necessary for project activities.


相手国側投入


a) Salary and allowances for instructors;
b) Administration and Consumable cost for trainees and instructors
c)Accommodation, Transport Refunds, and Training Implementation and Allowance for local instructors ;
d) Office space and facilities necessary for the project in Nakawa VTI and MOES;
e) Basic Utility of Nakawa VTI and MOES (Electricity, Gas, Water);
f) Approve the new structure of NVTI and Fill all vacant positions, and
g) Provide project counter funding budget

実施体制




(1)現地実施体制


The implementation agency is the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES.) The counterpart is Mrs. Margaret Nsereko, Commissioner of Teacher Education Department. The activities are mainly executed at the Nakawa Vocational Training Institute together with the master trainers at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute under the supervision of the BTVET Department and Teacher Education Department of the MoES.

(1)我が国の援助活動


(1) Exim Bank Korea, Islamic development bank, Saudi Fund support new construction of vocational training institutes and rehabilitation of 4 Uganda Technical Colleges.
(2) The World Bank and the Belgian Embassy, Irish Embassy pledged to support skilled human resource development in Albertine region (oil production region) through rehabilitation of existing vocational training institutes’ infrastructure, supply of equipment and teaching materials. World Bank already pledged 75 million USD for 4 years for this purpose from 2013.
(3) Japanese companies such as TOYOTA Uganda and YODOGAWA SEIKOUJO already collaborates with Nakawa VTI for procuring Nakawa's graduates to these companies and sending their workers for training of skill upgrading to Nakawa VTI. Nakawa VTI offers customer made training for workers from Japanese companies and other Ugandan companies and annually 250 workers benefit training at Nakawa VTI.
